Spring Cleaning!!!! House Remodeling!!!

I know this is a bit off the subject of writing, but in a way it isn't. By doing what is written here, I will get more writing done (fingers crossed).

Last night as  I stood in my kitchen waiting for my Bar-B-Q chicken to finish cooking I was staring at our half done remodel of our sun room and dining room. Then I decided to take the rest of the week off and fix it. Our sun room has been like this for quite some time (11 months). It's almost embarrassing to say that, but it's true. I can't believe its been almost a year of no window frames, putty, plain drywall, and a concrete floor. The dining room was covered in plastic on the back wall there (that's where the fireplace used to be). The hole was filled in a few weeks ago only to be reopened in the next few weeks to put in the stair case for the new set of stairs to the basement (see the little door to the left there with the cat door in it. That will be moved to the hole in the floor in the dining room). And all the god awful wood paneling will be gone. I'm so excited. I hate wood paneling.

Anyhow, me standing in the kitchen last night led to me deciding today to go to Lowe's or Home Depot and pick up some primer for the sun room. I plan on finishing the sanding and priming the wall to get it ready for some beautiful paint. Since my man is out of town, it will be a great surprise for when he returns. I know it's sad to think that this is how I'll be spending my Birthday week, but I consider this a gift to myself. It will get rid of some stress by doing this. Once it's done I'll post the AFTER pictures.

It is almost spring and cleaning is in the air! This weekend I cleaned my computer, updated all of my accounting files, and organized my freelance writing projects as well as picked up a few others. I've decided starting today I am taking this entire week off of work other than just a few projects that have to be completed and work on the house.
